Issue 1: Somewhere to put suggestions would be nice. We used to have the Meta area, putting it near or merging it with issues could be okay.
Suggestion 1: I've gone ahead and dropped a thread in the RP Requests section that might make things in there a bit more organised. If it seems useful, I'd like to request that it be stickied.
Suggestion 2: I have a few ideas regarding the position/role/whatever badges, since users are often not sure how to get them, and there's got to be a better way than three separate threads demanding mod attention to set the user up with a badge.
Solution A: We just merge the three threads into one "Badge Request" instead of three and they just ask for their role.
Upsides - concentrates the requests in one place.
Downsides - people still probably won't know what they're supposed to do for the badge even though it's simply just ask what you want, especially since they seem to only read what appears first, the bottom of the thread.
Not really optimal but at least there's only one thread instead of three, easy to find and we don't have multiple threads made or questions asked about where to go.
Solution B: We have three threads. Seke Badge, Uke Badge and Seme Badge. Further posts on the thread are blocked so everyone can see the instructions, which would be simply Like <3 the post of your choice.
ALTERNATE: We have three posts in one Badge thread, one for each role, and all should be visible on landing on the thread page. The liking thing remains.
i) A mod gifts the appropriate badge to whomever liked that post (tracking required, of course)
ii) @Magictallguy or someone who does forum magic sets the badge to automatically be awarded upon the condition of liking one of the posts. Limiting it to one badge only is probably practical. This seems easiest overall (but might mean those with existing badges may need to forfeit and reclaim them, dunno).
ALTERNATE: Instead of liking the post there's a little link in each that grants the badge, if that's easier to make happen. I don't know, I don't run backend.
yay suggestions and stuff
