And honestly, this is even better
Everytime we've done a so-called "hoist", the helicopter makes a loop to get in the proper direction with regards to wind direction. The thing is, they tend to do that while I'm sitting next to an open door (they barely ever close it), only wearing a seatbelt and going around 200-250 km/h. And yes, that's absolutely staggering, it's unbelievable. Oh, and your ears don't work for a couple of hours straight...
